The Purple adjustable bases work with any Purple mattress. But, a standard mattress might not conform as well to the base’s adjustments.

The smart bases fit inside most modern bed frames. They may not fit inside a non-standard bed frame. Measure the inside of your bed frame and compare the measurement with that on the smart base pages before purchasing.

The smart bases also work with a headboard but you will need headboard brackets.
